SERVPRO of Jefferson County/Oconomowoc Raises $4,000 in Support of National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

“Giving back to our community is very important,” says Todd Szada, owner of SERVPRO of Jefferson County/Oconomowoc that raised $4,000 for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. SERVPRO hosted their third annual bean bag tournament in March 2019 to help raise funds for this very worthy cause. This year  they decided to raise funds for a cause where they see so much devastation in their daily business.  “We get called to many fire losses and each fire is unique.  However, the one common thing is the need for firefighters to put out that fire,” said Szada. “We understand that the first responders put their own safety at risk to help others and we also know that sometimes these first responders get hurt or lose their lives while trying to help others.  We wanted to show our support and say thank-you to these families that experience tragedies for members of first responders.”  SERVPRO was happy to have the Fort Atkinson Fire Department and the Ashippun Fire Department in attendance.    The money raised was given to the National Organization and will be dispersed to families that lost a love-one who was a first responder.  Please visit their website to learn more about the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation or to make a donation https://www.firehero.org

Save the Date!!! We will be once again hosting a Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician training class at our location next year.  These dates have been confirmed with SERVPRO HQ.  The training will be April 15th and 16th 2020 (Wednesday and Thursday).  We will be sending out additional information concerning this class and cost once we get closer to those dates.  Space will again be limited so first-come first-served.  Last year I think we capped it at 30 people and we had maximum attendance.
